11/10 Rehearsal

Hard at work

This week we really worked hard on the Savior's Birth Medley. The kids are so excited about our fun, "rockin' " songs but we talked about the power that lies in the softer, meaningful songs as well.

One of the best parts about this group is the ability each singer has to express love and joy through music and uplift the audience.

The bulk of rehearsal was spent polishing our formations and beginning a run-through of all our songs! It's exciting to see how it is all going to fit together. We hope that the kids practice the choreography along with the songs at home.

10/27 Rehearsal

Ready to sing!
First off, we are finalizing some details about some more December performances... the details will be coming home with your singer SOON, hopefully after tomorrow's practice!  We'll keep you posted.

Secondly, we are already working on an absolutely fantastic line-up of music for our Winter session, which will start January 12th.  More details on that will be forthcoming, but if your child loves Broadway, pop or just all-around FUN music, they will be lovin' it!

Our rehearsal last week impressed us one more time.  We are asking a lot of these kids, with new music, harmony singing, movement and choreography... and they keep fulfilling our expectations, and more!

We worked on the Spanish verse for Star Bright, and the kids really caught on quickly.  Repetition is going to be the key for memorizing this one, so PLEASE encourage them to listen to their CDs.  It makes a huge difference, and makes memorizing virtually painless! :)

We continued to "stage" Christmas Sing-Along, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, and review some of our "older" songs.  This review is so important, as we don't want the singers to forget what they learned a couple of weeks ago.  Again, we are pleased that they are doing so well, and can't wait for their performances to start (which will be sooner than we can believe!).
